AHH! Real Microplastics!

They're found everywhere. Even in your own children. All of those little bits of plastics in our "throw away" lifestyle break down into what's called microplastics. These Frankenstein-like creations of our own mind then kill ecosystems, biodiversity, and invade our bodies, causing numerous health hazards. And that's just humans. From elephants to fish countless animals die annually from ingesting or choking on garbage, especially plastics.

Hello garbage patch, goodbye turtles.


Whether from the litter in our communities or the plastics in the rain tons of garbage and plastic bits eventually reach our waterways and flow into currents and around the world. Much of this finds its way to one of five floating collections of garbage in the oceans called gyres or garbage patches. The North Pacific Gyre or "Great Pacific Garbage Patch" between California and Hawaii is the most infamous of these.
